PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Solutions-oriented Cloud Engineer with 6+ years of experience designing, building, and automating resilient multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure across AWS and Azure. Specialized in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD automation, and cloud security compliance. Proven record of reducing cloud hosting costs by 32% ($35K+/month), architecting zero-downtime migration strategies for enterprise workloads, and driving 99.99% infrastructure availability across mission-critical microservice environments.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Jun 2022 - Present

StratoSphere Tech

Location: Chicago, IL

Architected and managed production AWS and Azure infrastructure spanning 80+ microservices, supporting 4M+ daily active enterprise users. Automated 100% of multi-region infrastructure provisioning using modular Terraform and Terragrunt, reducing environment spin-up times from 3 days to 25 minutes. Led cloud FinOps governance and rightsizing initiatives using AWS Cost Explorer and Datadog, cutting annual infrastructure spend by $420,000 without performance degradation. Implemented GitOps-based deployment pipelines with ArgoCD and Helm on Amazon EKS, speeding release cadence by 4x while eliminating manual configuration drift. Hardened IAM RBAC controls, enforced AWS KMS encryption-at-rest and in-transit, and automated security audit scans via Trivy to achieve SOC 2 Type II compliance.

Cloud DevOps Engineer

Sep 2019 - May 2022

NexaByte Systems

Location: Denver, CO

Migrated legacy on-premise monolithic applications into AWS containerized environments using Docker and Amazon ECS, slashing hardware maintenance overhead by 40%. Designed and maintained end-to-end CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for 30+ engineering squads, decreasing average build-to-deploy failure rates by 65%. Configured multi-AZ VPC networks with public/private subnet segmentation, NAT gateways, and transit gateways for secure internal data traffic. Established comprehensive observability dashboards and automated anomaly alerts using Prometheus and Grafana, lowering MTTR from 45 minutes to under 8 minutes. Automated snapshot backups and disaster recovery runbooks across AWS RDS and S3, maintaining RPO < 15 minutes and RTO < 30 minutes.

KEY PROJECTS

Multi-Region Kubernetes Disaster Recovery Framework

Jan 2023 - Dec 2023

Engineered an automated active-passive cross-region failover pipeline on AWS using Route53 DNS health checks and replicated EKS cluster manifests, achieving automated switchover in under 4 minutes.
